The author suggests "14 problem-based group activities for a sensation and perception course."  For example, for the vision section of the course, students are asked to "[m]ake recommendations on lighting for night-time road construction." Data are reported on the effectiveness of this approach. A companion resource to this article is available.  (Thanks to Ruth Ault for suggesting the companion resource!)
