Main -> Applying Psychological Science to Practical Instruction Problems in the Classroom and to Supporting Student Success and Wellbeing

The APA Task Force on the Applications of Psychological Science to Teaching and Learning is in the process of creating modules for instructors that address ten issues in teaching. While the focus is on elementary and secondary education, there is much value here for post-secondary instructors. Each module includes research to back up recommendations.

The modules that have been developed to date:

Developing Responsible and Autonomous Learners: A Key to Motivating Students

Bullying

Classroom Management

Practice for Knowledge Acquisition (Not Drill and Kill)

Using Praise to Enhance Student Resilience and Learning Outcomes
